In the exhibition at the Academy of Art in Krakow are presented Czech contemporary artists who are connected with XY Gallery, progressive young gallery space in Olomouc, Czech republic. The title of the exhibition refers to a quote by famous Scottish philosopher Thomas Carlyle uttered almost three hundred years ago.

The Krakow exhibition is a continuation of already established cooperation between Gallery XY and the Academy of Art in Krakow, which began last year with the exhibition Scattered Rhymes, presenting the graduates of the Academy of Art in Olomouc.

In Krakow will be presented paintings by David Jedlička, Magdalena A. Turzová and Jakub Čuška, larger objects by Robert Buček and works of smaller scale by Petr Bulava.
In addition to traditional art techniques, the exhibition also includes documentation of performance art by De Ardoise (Jan Kubeš).

All selected artists have been previously exhibited in Gallery XY in Olomouc.
The exhibition is supported by the City of Olomouc.
